club history
Below is a very brief history of the clubs that came together to play as Officer today.
officer 1932-1975
The Officer FC was formed in 1932 and commenced playing at the Officer Recreation Reserve on Starling Road (now known as the Rob Porter Recreation Reserve). Winning it's one and only premiership in 1961 the club wore maroon guernseys with a navy blue "V".
Rythdale-Cardinia 1928-1976
Around the early 1920's Cardinia United and Rythdale played separately joining forces in the late 1940's and moving to black, white and red vertical stripes. In the 1950's the combine enjoyed success playing in finals and winning their one and only premiership in 1955.
rythdale-officer-cardinia (ROC) 1977-2015
In early 1977 Officer & Rythdale-Cardinia amalgamated to form the Rythdale-Officer-Cardinia "ROC" FC. After two seasons in the South-West Gippsland FL (SWGFL) it moved to the West Gippsland FL (WGFL). ROC won two premierships in the WGFL (1995 & 1996) and another in 2002 playing in the WGLFL (Western Div).
officer (ROC) 2015-current
In 2015 the committee of the time decided to revert to the "Officer" name to better reflect where the Club physically resided. Sometimes you will see us referred to as "Officer (ROC)".
